Nobody melts down better than John McEnroe. He pouts. He sulks. He calls umpires jerks and threatens them with never working a match of his again. He breaks things.

Johnny Mac channeled all his anger and frustration at others, not at himself. It worked for him. He won a record 148 ATP titles and seven Grand Slams. Me, I get a frosty car ride home with the husband I just called a jerk.

Haters, this is a professional tennis player in action. Do not try this at home.

Meltdown of the Week: July 1, 2012: Serena Williams

Players know Serena Williams will kick their ass if they try to get in the way between her and a Grand Slam trophy. Little did Eva Asderaki know this includes umpires. Asderaki got her butt verbally kicked after she penalized Williams a point against Samantha Stosur in the 2010 US Open championship. Williams, down a set, had screamed, "C'mon!" while blasting a forehand to break Stosur in the first game of the second set. Asderaki ruled it a hinderance.

Nothing hindered Serena during the changeover.

Watching this, I know why Serena became a certified nail technician. It makes your hands so much prettier when you're making those "talk to the hand" moves.

Who said tennis isn't a blood sport? Russian Mikhail Youzhny used his racquet to fix his inner game during his 3rd round match at the 2008 Sony Ericsson Open. Youzhny was trailing Spain's Nicolas Almagro 5-4 in the 3rd set. He went on to win in a tiebreaker.

When you can't think straight on the court, straighten your frontal lobe.

Andy Roddick is no stranger to "I hate tennis" moments. This one is at the 2011 Mutua Madrid, when Roddick got broken in his first service game of the third and deciding set against qualifier Flavio Cipolla. The Italian went on to win, ousting a veteran player ranked 148 places above him. It's unclear what sustains more damage, Roddick's Babolat or the Schweppes sign.

Meltdown of the Week, April 30, 2012: Marcos Baghdatis

Andre Agassi may have said he hated tennis, but no one showed it better on the court than Marcos Baghdatis. His meltdown in this January's Australian Open match against Stan Wawrinka is hating at its finest. He broke four racquets in a row. Two were still in their plastic wrap. It helped! Down two sets, Baghdatis took the third, but apparently spent so much energy destroying his gear that he didn't have anything left for the fourth set. Wawrinka won, 7-6, 6-4, 5-7, 6-1.
